I converted it to center-mag and added some comments attributing it to David. Center-mag is better because: 1. takes less space (only two high precision numbers instead of four or six) 2. makes the magnification obvious 3. makes it very easy to copy PAR entry and generate the same spot with lower magnifications (just edit the mag exponent). 4. removes aspect ratio ambiguity (with corners it is hard to tell if aspect is right) A question I have is whether or not this image requires this high magnification or whether it is inside a "whirlpool of self-similarity". The only way I know to answer is to generate "super-zooms" at lower magnification and see if the pattern repeats. Any comments on this? A great group project would be to zoom into this spot (or other deep zoom spot) and make an animation. If folks are interested I could make a big batch file and assign out images. The final images could be assembled into an flc file using Dave's Targa Animator. Does anyone know if Xfract 300 works with this PAR?
