MTRCHAOS version 1.0  &  MTRLYAP version 1.0

MTRCHAOS and MTRLYAP are software tools designed to provide scientists, 
researchers, and engineers with a quick and easy way of answering the 
question "Is my data set from a chaotic system?"

Features of the software package include the following:
   *   high-speed algorithm for estimating BOTH correlation dimension
          and largest Lyapunov exponents
   *   choice of methods for estimating reconstruction delays
   *   null-hypothesis testing with surrogate data sets
   *   easy-to-use graphical interface
   *   data visualization using delay portraits and frequency spectra

The software requires a PC-compatible computer running DOS 3.1 or higher, 
640K RAM, and EGA display.  A math coprocessor and color VGA display are 
highly recommended.

The software COSTS YOU NOTHING and may be distributed freely.  (The author 
will supply a limited number of copies.  When they're gone, you'll have to 
make your own copy from a friend, FTP site, or on-line service that has the 
software.)  The only catch is that users are requested to give their feed-
back about the software.  (A questionnaire accompanies the executable 
programs.)  Also, there is no guarantee that future versions of the software
will remain free of charge.  Depending upon users' needs, the development 
of a commercial version may be considered.
