Fractal images by O

oooo@calweb.com

These images were all created with the fractal program Fractint using its built-in Fractal types or Formulae. I think all the fractals have a distinctive, artistic quality that make them worth showing as a collection. Here are selections of fractals picked from several larger series of images submitted to me on my request to the artist.

The artist, publishing under the pseudonym "O", regularly posts to alt.binaries.pictures.fractals, where most of these images first appeared. O is a working scientist in Northern California. He believes in making fractal art as accessible as possible, which is one of the reasons he works almost exclusively in Fractint. As O demonstrates, Fractint opens the door to quite a number of colorful possibilities.
